Tenuta di Corte Giacobbe
Soave, Vigneto Runcata, Tenuta di Corte Giacobbe 2016, Veneto, Italy - 1.5l
Flavours of fruit in a white wine can be considered gauche, but that couldn't be further from the case with Vigneto Runcata. The nose of this magnum blends almond with warm acacia, giving way to an unmistakable hint of peach. This is mirrored on the palate, with peach, baked apple, apricot, lemon and grapefruit the overriding taste sensations - matched and balanced by various herbs, vanilla and nutty overtones. The result is a dry but smooth sip with a crisp, lengthy finish defined by a pleasing acidity. This is a wine that achieves the seemingly impossible - equally impressing white enthusiasts of the dry and sweet camps.

ABOUT THE VINEYARD
Like many great wineries, the Tenuta di Corte Giacobbe vineyard is a true family affair. The Dal Cero family have occupied and operated the winery for generations, ensuring that all traditions and values of the region are upheld. The grapes are planted in the shadow of two (thankfully extinct) volcanoes, providing unique and rich soil that adds to the delectable flavour of this vineyard's produce. Giuseppe and Dario Dal Cero are presently carrying the torch of this legacy name in Italian wine, and work tirelessly to retain Tenuta di Corte Giacobbe's place at the head of the table.
