Château la Coste

Château La Coste 'Lady A' Rosé 2021, Provence, France - 1.5l

£32

A fine rosé should taste as smooth as silk, and that is certainly the case with Lady A. This French wine looks set to become a new standard bearer for its shade thanks to its effortlessly light, dry and crisp taste sensation. There is a vert particular zest to this rosé thanks to citrus notes, which combine in perfect harmony with fruity hints of peach and raspberry, all paired with an appealing floral aroma. Serve Lady A chilled to perfection and keep it on ice for the finest results. It's idea for watching the world go by while seated beside a pool or on a rooftop terrace. Even the bottle itself impressed, with a label designed by Damien Hirst.

WHAT IT GOES WITH

Lady A is arguably best paired with seafood. The crisp citrus flavour is a perfect match for shellfish in particular. This is a versatile rosé, however, and eminently drinkable. The lightness of Lady A ensures that it pairs well with salad, while white meat also makes for an agreeable match.

ABOUT THE VINEYARD

Lady A hails from Château la Coste, a wholly organic and unique vineyard in Provence. Grapes are grown in a cuverie designed by the renowned architect Jean Nouvel, designer of the Louvre Abu Dhabi. This bond between art and wine lends itself the vineyard itself, which hosts countless striking striking pieces of original work from some of the most celebrated artists in the western world. The vineyard itself, meanwhile, blends traditional techniques with the latest and greatest technology to embrace a perfect union of flavour and fertility within the grounds. Château la Coste proudly boasts an AB label to prove the vineyard's organic credentials, ensuring that its produce is as ecologically ethical as it is tantalising on the palate.
