The wartime leader was a famed enthusiast of the Pol Roger brand, and this vintage offers everything he valued in champagne. A peppery and spicy nose gives way to intense flavours of black fruit with a nutty overtone, balanced by hints of buttery toasted brioche. Acidity is medium and welcome, while the finish is long-lasting and tantalising. Truly a champagne fit to carry Churchill's name, with a rich and striking character reminiscent of the man himself.

Now controlled by a fifth generation, the values of Pol Roger are identical to those that put this house on the map in the 19th Century, while Churchill himself formed a firm rapport with the house following a banquet to celebrate the liberation of France from German occupation in 1944. This 2015 vintage enjoys the advantage of grapes plucked from a particularly warm and wet growing season, leading to a unique crispness.

We always intend to despatch any orders on the same day, on a next day delivery service, assuming checkout is completed before 1pm as this gives us enough time to prepare the package.

If ordering as a gift, please provide the recipient’s address and a contact telephone number so they are notified a delivery is coming. While the arrival of a magnum will surely be a welcome surprise, we want to ensure somebody is available to sign for the package. We’ll keep you updated about the delivery progress, and supply a purchase invoice that doubles as a receipt for your financial records to your email address. We never include an invoice with the package in case it is a gift.
We rarely need to process returns, but in the improbable event that we need to do so, we will offer a full refund on any product returned in its original packaging and in a re-sellable condition. Unfortunately we cannot refund shipping costs.
