    WHAT IT GOES WITH

Like all port, Cockburn is best enjoyed with cheese in front of a roaring fire. Any dessert that focusses on chocolate or nuts will also benefit from this port.

      ABOUT THE VINEYARD

The Cockburn's story began in 1815, when brothers John and Robert Cockburn left their native Scotland for Portugal. Ignmoring the traditional port-making techniques, including purchasing grapes from Porto, the Cockburn brothers plucked grapes directly from the Douro Valley. This is still where Cockburn's starts life, with a premesis in Quinta dos Canais as well as the centre of Vila Nova de Gaia. Most of Cockburn's port is created from Touriga Nacional, with the celebrated Special Reserve enjoying particular emphasis on this grape. To this day, Cockburn's is a byword for high quality port that can be enjoyed all year around.
