Zuccardi Q Malbec
Malbec doesn’t get mal-better than this. The Zuccardifamily are wine making royalty in Mendoza, and this Uco Valley Malbec is among their very best. Dark and dense, the nose explodes with buckets of blackberry and blueberry fruits and a floral lift. In the mouth there’s no shortage of ripe and rich black fruit flavours. All that tasty blackberry and plum is complemented with hints of dark chocolate and sweet, well-integrated oak. If you’ve ever written off Malbec as a one trick pony, this’ll show you the error of your ways!
WHAT IT GOES WITH
This is an Argentinian Malbec. What are you waiting for? Grab the juiciest cut of beef you can get your hands on and fire it up on the grill.
ABOUT THE VINEYARD
Third generation Sebastian Zuccardi leads the way at this legendary family winery. They’ve got vineyards in Santa Rosa and Maipu, but in this case it’s all about the Uco Valley. The high altitude vineyards here are affected by the floodwaters of the Andes mountains, and viticulture here is heroic to say the least. Befitting its pedigree, Zuccardi Q Malbec sees a year in French oak and six months in bottle before release.
