WHAT IT GOES WITH
Like any port, this fine bottle from Warre's will bring any cheese board to life. It also pairs equally well with a variety of different desserts, though. Whether following a meal with a chocolate dish, bread pudding or pecan pie, this astounding bottle will ensure that nobody is in any hurry to leave the table.
Warre's produce their port in the Quinta da Cavadinha, found in the beating heart of the celebrated Pinhão Valley. The real work of this vineyard is undertaken in a a bowl found some 180 metres from sea level, just above a bend in the Pinhão River. This leads to a vineyard that reaches altitudes of 440 metres, ensuring the optimum conditions for the growth of an array of grapes. 2001's harvest was particularly reputable due to particularly wet conditions and above-average levels of rainfall, ensuring that this 2002 vintage is among the finest ports available from a hugely reputable manufacturer.
