Moët & Chandon Rosé Impérial Brut NV, Champagne, France

£157

Moët champagne surely needs to introduction, but pairing the decadence and elegance of the classic blend with the playful perkiness of rosé brings this producer to a new level. Popping the cork of this bottle will provide a tantalisingly fresh aroma, and that's matched by the intensity of the flavour. The palate will immediately be treated to a range of berries, with strawberries, raspberries and redcurrants vying for attention. Rest assured, however, this is no cloying champagne - hints of peach cut through the sweetness to provide a balanced taste sensation, rounded out by a hint of refreshing menthol that lingers on the lips.

GRAPE

  • Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay

WHAT IT GOES WITH

If you're in the mood for something spicy, Moet Rosé is the perfect companion to temper any flavourful excesses. This decadent bottle also matches cured meats and fresh seafood, however.

ABOUT THE VINEYARD

Producing celebrated champagnes since 1743, few vineyards are as famed as that of Möet and Chandon. The growth area of this vineyard covers five of the most celebrated areas in the Champagne region, ensuring that only the very best ingredients make their way into the final product. Once harvested, the grapes are slowly fermented and allowed to mature, with the process managed by a substantial in-house team of experts led by Benoît Giuez, Moët’s Chef de Cave.
